People just don't tend to have to give up much in Texas unless you are living outright luxury.
Some of you who have moved in from other states may have heard of people who filed bankruptcy and had to give just about everything up including the kitchen sink or been told that everything you keep will fit in the trunk of your car. That is so seldom true if ever the case in Texas. Now if they filed in Tennessee that may very well be true. If you have lived in Texas for over two years that is definitely not the case and even if not there are only about four states or so whose restrictive laws still apply to you if you came to Texas less than two years ago and are now domiciled here.
